The German Marshall Fund of the United States of America

The German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) is a nonpartisan American public policy and grantmaking institution dedicated to promoting greater cooperation and understanding between the United States and Europe. GMF does this by supporting individuals and institutions working on transatlantic issues, by convening leaders to discuss the most pressing transatlantic themes, and by examining ways in which transatlantic cooperation can address a variety of global policy challenges. In addition, GMF supports a number of initiatives to strengthen democracies. Founded in 1972 through a gift from Germany as a permanent memorial to Marshall Plan assistance, GMF maintains a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition to its headquarters in Washington, DC, GMF has seven offices in Europe: Berlin, Bratislava, Paris, Brussels, Belgrade, Ankara, and Bucharest.

ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius

The Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius ZEIT-Stiftung aims to strengthen civilian society. The independent and charitable foundation promotes private endeavor that benefits society in a spirit of civic responsibility. According to its statutes, the Foundation supports independent initiatives and the projects of qualified applicants in the fields of research and scholarship, art and culture as well as education and training. As one of the most important private investment foundations, the ZEIT-Stiftung has founded a number of its own institutions in order to guarantee sustainability in its statutory areas of activity. Furthermore, funding is granted for limited projects such as scholarship programes for gifted young scholars, and start-up initiatives for creative as well as preservation and heritage projects. In the spirit of its founder Gerd Bucerius, the Foundation encourages new departures, crossing boundaries, and making contributions to necessary reforms in research, culture and education. Within the statutory framework, active citizenship and independent social initiatives are the main focus.

Robert Bosch Foundation

For more than 40 years, the Robert Bosch Foundation has taken care of the philantrophic legacy of its founder, the German industrial pioneer, Robert Bosch. The foundation’s goal is to advance science and research by supporting young German academics and researchers abroad. Besides it own large variety of research programs, the Bosch Foundation also provide grants, enabling third parties to develop and implement interesting long-term projects and initiatives in order to address social challenges.

The Bradley Foundation's Mission

The Bradley brothers were committed to preserving and defending the tradition of free representative government and private enterprise that has enabled the American nation and, in a larger sense, the entire Western world to flourish intellectually and economically. The Bradleys believed that the good society is a free society. The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation is likewise devoted to strengthening American democratic capitalism and the institutions, principles, and values that sustain and nurture it. Its programs support limited, competent government; a dynamic marketplace for economic, intellectual, and cultural activity; and a vigorous defense, at home and abroad, of American ideas and institutions. In addition, recognizing that responsible self-government depends on enlightened citizens and informed public opinion, the Foundation supports scholarly studies and academic achievement.
